The reconstruction of a complex sports school for children and youth №2 is being held in Prymorskyi district. After the repair works, over 2000 children will be able to go swimming professionally, visit sections of gymnastics and do archery. The sports center for all the family will be opened in a renewed building. The financing is held from the city, regional and state budgets.
The last time the major repair works of the building were held in 1972. The goal of the current reconstruction is not just the creation of comfortable conditions to do sports but also improvement of the premises. Thus, the pool bowl will be repaired and finished. They will connect a water purification and heating system for training at any time of the year. Before the renovation, it worked only during the heating season. Supply and exhaust ventilation will be installed. Also, the redevelopment will allow placing showers and changing rooms as close as possible to the pool. Previously, they were separated by a corridor, which caused inconvenience to the visitors of children’s and youth sports school.
Besides, the class of archery lessons will be broadened and extended. It will meet standard international requirements and all the needs of bowmen. It will afford to educate children in a professional level.
“The reconstruction will let create comfortable conditions for training sessions. Two thousands of children will get professional skills and will develop their sports career”, the deputy mayor Olexandr Kochurin admitted.
95% of dismantling works, roof insulation with PIR heat-insulating tile and installation of windows were completed. Facade and floor insulation and the installation of ventilating equipment are being held. The exchange of windows and stained glass windows, utility networks and internal communications, as well as finishing of ventilated facade are planned. The works are planned to be finished in 2022.
