Today, the Memorandum of Cooperation between the utilities, four educational institutions and Mariupol City Council has been signed. It involves joint work on the training of young personnel. The event was attended by Mayor Vadim Boichenko.

The Mayor said that today municipal utilities are actively developing and modernizing. New equipment appears and the staff expands. He also noted that this year Mariupol City Council was nominated for HR Brand Ukraine award in the nomination ‘The State as an Employer’. This confirms that the municipal institutions of the city are ready to fight for young specialists.

‘Our task is to make utilities of the highest quality possible. This requires qualified personnel. The link between educational institutions and utilities is important. It is necessary to give students practical skills. Show the possibility of employment and professional development in Mariupol. Young people must find their future in their hometown,’
Vadim Boichenko stressed.

The memorandum was signed by Mariupol College of Perm State Technical University, the Mariupol Electromechanical College, the Mariupol Professional Agrarian Lyceum, Velikoanadolsky Forest College and ‘Kommunalnik’, ‘Vodokanal’, ‘Mariupolavtodor’, ‘Heating Network’, ‘Mariupol Tram and Trolleybus Administration’ utilities.

The purpose of the Memorandum is to ensure interaction and long-term cooperation of the parties on issues of professional training or retraining of specialists, as well as joint activities to preserve the labor potential of Mariupol. According to the document, it is planned to create innovative classes in educational institutions and practical bases for practical training in utility enterprises.

The Deputy mayor Liliya Tkachenko emphasized that the document involves the training of highly professional specialists for work in communal enterprises.

‘There is a lack of specially trained people. It is important that graduates of educational institutions can go to work and get involved in all processes with a minimum internship. To do this, we will develop effective training programs,’ the deputy mayor said.
