It is taken stock of the activities of law enforcement officers for half a year in Mariupol

Today a coordination meeting has been held where the work of the Donetsk region police has been summed up in the first half of this year at the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Donetsk region. The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavel Kirilenko, Deputy Mayor Yaroslav Khotnyansky, Head of the Main Department Nikolai Semenishin, Director of the Department for Security and Prevention of Corruption of the City Council Grigory Berezun, representatives of the prosecutor's office, Joint Force Operations and the National Security Agency.

Nikolay Semenishin said that the level of public confidence in the police in the Donetsk region is one of the highest in Ukraine. According to him, the crime rate is one of the lowest in the country. There are 31 crimes per 10 thousand people. A total of 13,000 crimes were registered, where 4,600 were revealed. In addition, the head of the Headquarters of the National Police of Ukraine in the Donetsk region noted that one of the main problems is illegal deforestation. For six months, 110 logging events were recorded.

‘According to the results of sociological research, the police of the Donetsk region are among the top ten bodies that the population most trusts. The level of trust is 35%. In addition, 194 thousand people turned to the police for help, which is two thousand more than last year,’ Nikolai Semenishin said.

The existing problems were summed up and identified by the Deputy Commander of the Combined Forces Operation Bogdan Bondar and Head of the State Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk Region Vladimir Petrichenko.

In turn, Pavel Kirilenko stressed that the relevant departments will study the issue of total deforestation and the problem of selling alcoholic beverages. Special attention will be paid to the organization of security in elections.

‘The main task of the police is to ensure fair, transparent and unbiased elections. Every citizen should be given the opportunity to make their will,’ he said.
