The integrated lessons and features of STEM-education were told to teachers at a master class, which was held on the basis of gymnasium-school № 27 for teachers in the Central and Primorskiy districts. The topic is "Formation of core competencies in the lessons of physics and labor training through the productivity of lessons."
It was conducted by a teacher of the highest category, teaching physics and labor training Galina Sles. She spoke about the main methods and techniques used in the teaching of school subjects. Drew the attention of colleagues to the formation of the core competencies of the child during training.
The teacher noted that in her lessons she uses intersubject connections with mathematics, biology, chemistry and history. Thus, she conducts integrated lessons which are a special form of STEM training. It is the creation of conditions for the development of STEM education that is a priority for the modernization of education.
In her opinion, such integrated lessons form the ability of students to use their knowledge in other related subjects. This is achieved by using game projects and contests.
At the meeting, the teachers were able to improve their professional skills and take innovative ideas into their work.
