Representatives of Beten Ingenierie and the municipality have met in Mariupol. They summed up the results of 2020 and outlined plans for next year. The key issue was the water supply project.
“All our joint projects and plans are in the center of our attention. Despite the challenge of a pandemic, we have had a fruitful 2020. I am confident that next year we will be able to make even more active progress in the implementation of the set goals, " First Deputy Mayor Mikhail Kohut said.
The president of the French company Beten Ingenierie Jean Roche noted that in 2021 a new joint project will be launched within the framework of decentralized cooperation. It involves the reconstruction of the Central and Left Bank embankments.
“We will continue to work on other projects. In particular, a report on the determination of primary data on water sources has already been prepared. Soon, our working group will propose three options for locating a water treatment plant. Another direction is work on sustainable green development within the framework of Mariupol Development Strategy 2030, ”he said.
Jean Roche added that the company is ready to help attract European funding for environmental projects.
In turn, Deputy Mayor Serhii Orlov noted the importance of cooperation in developing a block of green development of the city, industrial and municipal ecology. According to Deputy Mayor Serhii Zakharov, the French experience is especially relevant in these matters.
