Today, one more part of charity help from Vadym Novynsky International Charitable Fund has come to Mariupol. Thus, Mariupol hospitals will be equipped with two mechanical ventilation devices, and medical staff with suits and personal protective equipment.

According to Mayor Vadym Boichenko, due to a clear algorithm of actions and regular support of Rinat Akhmetov and Vadym Novynsky, they managed to quickly respond and prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in Mariupol.

‘Help provided on time gives a synergistic effect. Mariupol has good statistics at the fight against the disease, about 60% of patients have already recovered. All this is due to the coordinated work of the medical staff and the developed local pandemic response plan. Our partners regularly help us provide physicians with everything necessary for safe work. It guarantees a speedy recovery of patients,’
the Mayor noted.

The Mayor also informed about the allocation of state funding for supplements to physicians working in conditions of increased danger. ‘We expect the receipt of about UAH 30 million for an additional payment to our doctors and nurses. It will be distributed between three city hospitals, where hospital bases for the fight against coronavirus infection are organized. Our surcharge will be at the same level,’ he stressed.

It is worth noting that this is the third batch of assistance from Vadym Novynsky Foundation. Today, another 1,800 medical kits and two American-made mechanical ventilation devices have arrived at the Emergency Hospital. The kit includes protective visors, water-repellent suits and shoe covers. They will be distributed between city hospitals No. 4, No. 9 and Ambulance Hospital.

Director of Ambulance Hospital Sergey Orleansky emphasized that the equipment received is expensive and it allows resuscitation assistance to modern standards.
