The city hospital №9 has received two French-made artificial lung ventilation devices. The new equipment will become a reliable support for medical personnel in the fight against COVID-19. The delivery took place within the framework of the program of Rinat Akhmetov Charitable Foundation. Mayor Vadym Boichenko expressed gratitude for the support of the medicine of Mariupol.
“Rinat Akhmetov Foundation timely helped create conditions in our city for a confident fight against COVID-19. A clear algorithm of actions, provision of all necessary medical personnel, perseverance of medical workers and support of the city's partners - made it possible to conduct an operational struggle for the health and life of Mariupol residents and maintain a stable situation in Mariupol ”,
Vadym Boichenko noted.
Konstantin Voytsekhovsky, HR and Administration Director of Azovstal Iron and Steel Works of Metinvest Group, emphasized that for Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, assistance to the healthcare system has always been one of the priorities: “The Fund allocated UAH 300 million to Ukraine to fight the pandemic. In February, it was decided to purchase 200 ventilators. Today, they successfully help doctors fight for the lives of patients. Six ventilators had been delivered to Mariupol before. The Foundation also donated express tests ”.
The ventilator "Monnal T75" is used for invasive and non-invasive ventilation of adults, children and newborns. It is suitable for treating most serious respiratory conditions. It has audible and visual alarms, a wide range of patient monitoring functionality, and the ability to operate autonomously for three hours.
In turn, the adviser to the governor of the Donetsk regional state administration Mykola Trofimenko said: “The situation with the incidence of COVID-19 in the Donetsk region remains stable and controlled. The regional healthcare system is fully prepared for the challenges in the fight against COVID-19 ".
