The celebration of the Day of Mariupol city ended with a gala concert of the participants of the ‘Chervona Ruta’ all-Ukrainian festival and the band ‘TIK’. The artists shared with the spectators a lot of drive, energy and positive emotions.
Thousands of people – boys and girls, small and adults – gathered to congratulate the city on the 239th Anniversary of its birthday. Everyone had a good mood and patriotic symbols. And citizens’ security was provided by law enforcement officers.
Mariupol citizens were eagerly awaiting the performance of the well-known band ‘TIK’ from Vinnytsia. Viktor Broniuk and his team rocked the audience and brought out incredible impressions. The audience did not restrain their emotions: they danced, sang the vocalist and created a ‘starry sky’ with lighters and mobile phones. ‘TIK’ performed songs that were very familiar to Mariupol and Ukraine. The band sang its hit song ’Love, you, Ukraine’ in the end. The front man Viktor Bronyuk wished Mariupol happiness, peaceful sky and progressive development.
Myroslav Melnyk, the Executive Director of ‘Chervona Ruta’, came up to the stage after the performance of the stars. In his speech, he noted that Mariupol became native for the festival participants: “The best bands from all over Ukraine were performing in the city for five days. They should be proud of that fact that the highest point of their career has begun here in Mariupol”.
The Mariupol rock band ‘SunScreen’ was among the participants too. They also performed on the main stage of Theater Square, congratulating Mariupol on a holiday. The unusual rock adaptation of the Ukrainian song ‘Willow board’ was the most striking performance.
