A draw for the distribution of flats for orphans has taken place in Mariupol today. 37 one-room flats were purchased under the co-financing program together with the Donetsk regional military-state administration in the amount of UAH 16 mln. This program has been running in the city for the fourth year.
‘Every year we give flats to orphans. To date, 150 flats have been distributed. After the children enter the property, we can assume that orphans live in 187 apartments. Now we have carried out one of the stages - a draw, then there will be a housing commission, and after the executive committee of the city council will adopt the protocol. After all the stages, the Mayor will hand over the keys to the desired housing to the children,’ Deputy Mayor Mykhailo Ivchenko said.
The event itself took place in the fresh air - at ‘Zapadnyi’ stadium. Their friends and relatives came to support the children. Olexandra Mangusheva said that she had been on the housing register since 2014, she no longer hoped to get housing and then suddenly it happened. She stressed that she is very happy with the area of the city where the housing is located. Olexandra appreciated the local authorities for such a pleasant gift of fate.
