A solemn event dedicated to the Day of Educators has been held in "Ukrainian House" palace of culture today. More than 20 Mariupol teachers were awarded with money certificates for their conscientious work. Mayor Vadym Boichenko handed over the keys to the apartments to five. Parents were also noted for their active participation in the city program "Vidpovidalne Batkivstvo".
“All the initiatives and activities that we see in schools and education in general are dictated by the time, the requests of teachers and parents. As a result, such motivational projects are born, which should support teachers and stimulate them to work in a good way. A teacher is not a profession, but a vocation. It is he who helps our children to reveal their potential and gain important knowledge. In turn, we must give the teacher confidence and comfort in his work”,
Vadym Boichenko stressed.
Apartments are provided as service housing from renovated escheated housing stock. All candidacies submitted for participation in the project were considered by a special commission, which included representatives from 9 educational districts of Mariupol.
