A round table has been held at Mariupol State University with the participation of the Deputy Mayor Ksenia Sukhova. The topic of the meeting is the interaction of public organizations, government bodies and local governments to ensure social protection, the rights and freedoms of citizens affected by the hostilities. Special attention was paid to the support of resettlers.
Today, 97,000 resettlers are registered in the city. According to Ksenia Sukhova, Mariupol from the first days supported them.In this direction, the municipality cooperates with the regional and state authorities.
The Deputy Mayor stressed that the city is doing everything to integrate “new Mariupol residents” into the society. In particular, Mariupol is working on solving the housing problem. For example, two houses for social housing have already been reconstructed.
‘Mariupol is ready to continue to provide comprehensive assistance to immigrants - new residents of our city. In this direction, we initiate projects and are engaged in their integration into society. "New Mariupol residents" help us develop Mariupol,’ Ksenia Sukhova said.
The round table ended with the conclusion of a memorandum with the initiator of the round table - Erlite the public organization. The document provides for cooperation in promoting the protection of the rights of people affected by the hostilities.
