It is planned to allocate more than UAH 500 million for the development of housing and communal services. More than 100 million of them are for the support of condominiums. Besides, the financial resource should cover the key areas of the city's life: housing stock, the creation of "Cozy courtyards", heat supply, water supply and lighting. The plans include launching a project for the construction of a solid waste landfill.
Director of the Department for the Development of Housing and Utilities Infrastructure Ihor Babek noted that, within the framework of supporting condominiums, it is planned to overhaul the roofs of houses, engineering and electrical systems and residential buildings. More than UAH 12 million has been allocated for the replacement of elevators and repair of balconies. This will replace six elevators and overhaul 16. Besides, 43 balconies will be upgraded. UAH 25 million is planned to be spent on capital repairs of the historical part of Mariupol.
Due to the investments of the French Ministry of Finance, next year more than UAH 170 million will be allocated to continue the implementation of the drinking water supply project. With the funds raised from the European Investment Bank, it is planned to start the reconstruction and modernization of outdoor lighting. There are plans to install modern LED lamps.
“Due to the openness and transparency of Mariupol, we were able to obtain financial resources from foreign partners. This will allow us to continue large-scale projects and modernize the housing and communal sector of our city, ” Ihor Babek stressed.
Besides, within the framework of support for heat supply and water supply, it is planned to reconstruct heating systems, heating networks, a water pipeline along Budivelnykiv Avenue, build external pressure sewerage networks, overhaul three boiler houses and purchase modern equipment for them.
