May 12 from 11am to 3pm in the Palace of Culture "Youth" the festival ‘SkhidFest’will be held. The residents and the guests of Mariupol will be able to get acquainted with the unusual world of the East. They can learn about the culture of Japan, China, South Korea, India, Morocco and Egypt. The implementation of this project has become possible due to the victory in the mini-grants competition of ‘Public Budget’ program.
More than UAH 30 000 were allocated for the implementation of the project of ‘Public budget’. They were aimed at acquiring mini bumper balls, in which children can feel like sumaists and a decorative Chinese screen. As well as for thematic souvenirs and printing.
‘The theme of Asian culture is very popular now. Mariupol youth is interested in the countries of the East. I have been working with children for a long time, so I decided to organize this festival at their request. In addition to professionals, adolescents themselves will take part in the event. For them, this is an opportunity to demonstrate their talents to the general public and find friends by interests,’ the author of the project Ilona Arkhangelskaya said.
The guests of the festival will remember photo zones, tea ceremony, master classes of athletes, craftsmen, artists and connoisseurs of oriental culture. A concert will be held on the stage of the Palace of Culture, where Mariupol groups will show classical and modern dances. There will also be a fair, everyone can buy themed souvenirs.
