After the reconstruction, the last bell rang at school No. 26. Mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boichenko and Chairman of Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko came to the ceremony. They examined the modern conditions, where children will now study. New opportunities in the education of Mariupol were opened by the presidential program “Big Construction”.
‘This training center that we are opening is admirable. This school is the epitome of great change in our city. 6.5 thousand square meters, 32 modern technological classes - this is how the institution looks today. New equipment and modern approaches will open up new opportunities for more than 900 children who are now studying here, ”said Vadim Boychenko.
The Mayor appreciated the President of Ukraine and the Governor of Donetsk region for their help in renovating the educational institution. In turn, Pavlo Kyrylenko stressed that this is the first school to be restored within the framework of the presidential project “Big Construction”.
‘When you see this restoration, I would like to congratulate you on the opening of the new school. Its equipment, advanced materials and equipment have presented the children of the city with an almost new educational institution. It is one of the largest and most powerful schools in the region. It is important that the number of students increases without increasing the area,’ the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration said.
After a major overhaul, the school got a new life. The classrooms are equipped with multimedia equipment and new furniture and a modern gym has been created. There is an interactive shooting gallery in the Fatherland Defense classroom and in the English language class, each student has a laptop. There is also a resource room where you can play interactive games.
Lockers are installed on the model of American and European schools - cabinets for storing accessories: books and notebooks. Particular attention is paid to quality nutrition. Modern equipment was installed in the dining room, which allows you to quickly prepare food. This is a multicooker that holds 80 liters and German-made combi ovens that combine a double boiler and a convection oven. All equipment is programmed from the phone.
The educational institution has created all conditions for children with disabilities. Education is becoming even more accessible. Besides, a whole sports complex was created at the school, including a football field, a basketball court, a workout area, and a treadmill.
‘Our task is to give children a quality education and prepare them for the challenges of the modern world. Therefore, we create all the conditions so that they can learn, develop and reveal their potential. Large-scale reconstruction of the 26th school is one more step on this path,’ Vadym Boichenko said.
