Today, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, Education Minister Lilia Grinevich and City Mayor Vadim Boichenko have visited school No. 26. There, the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers gave an autograph on the stand with a presentation of the institution’s reconstruction project and talked to first graders.

Mariupol City Council submitted a project to the Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine for the overhaul and creation of sports infrastructure in school No. 26. Its total planned cost is more than UAH 43 million. Funding from the State Regional Development Fund and the local budget is envisaged. Now the project is under consideration by the Commission of the State Fund of Regional Development.

‘Today I promised that we will help build the stadium. But my main task is for every Ukrainian school to get such stadiums through funding mechanisms. And the task will be completed in several years’,
Vladimir Groisman stressed.

In turn, Vadim Boichenko said that in Mariupol there is an active construction of school sports complexes.

‘We set ourselves the task to involve children in sports. Give motivation to participate in professional sports. Raise healthy and active youth’,
the Mayor stressed.

The Head of the Cabinet attended the lesson of first-graders. In the course of communication with children, he was interested in what way they like the learning process. The children answered that they were happy to come to school

‘Now the schools have a completely different atmosphere in which children are really interested. This implies a different organization of the educational process. And I think this is one of the priorities in the work. In addition to the availability of education, we must give the quality of education’,
the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.

Pupils of the school showed Vladimir Groysman a mini-museum of national life. He also looked at the school cafeteria and sports hall.
