Dear veterans, Mariupol! Congratulations on Victory Day over Nazism in World War II. 74 years ago, our loved ones and relatives won for us the right to have peace and freedom. They gave us a happy childhood and a clear sky above our heads. Mariupol was raised from the ruins, laying its foundation for hope for a bright future.
Then, everybody united for the sake of one goal - to return peace. To get it, they were ready to give their lives at the front and in the rear – to work during sleepless nights. Ordinary people who have become heroes. At the peak of the limit of human capabilities, they performed heroic feats. Together we could stop the war. Dear veterans, you have shown the impregnability of the spirit, strength of character and the power of unity.
From the bottom of my heart I appreciate you for giving us the future. We are inspired by your heroism. Good health, family care and attention of loved ones. Peaceful sky overhead and faith in the future!
Faithfully yours,
Vadim Boichenko, Mayor of Mariupol
