Mariupol has been hosting events dedicated to the Day of the Elderly for four days. The final concert with the participation of the People's Artist of Ukraine Pavlo Zibrov and "Samotsvety" band took place yesterday at the Theatre Square. Mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boichenko congratulated the older generation of Mariupol residents.
“Care, respect and love - these words define our attitude towards our mothers, grandmothers, grandfathers. They contain what you gave us. You gave us love, raised us with care and nurtured respect. Now we are expressing our attitude towards you not in words, but in deeds: new transport, which today drives through our streets, where you are met by a polite conductor, the opening of new medical centers, renewal of the Territorial Center, where a wide range of services is provided free of charge, ” Vadym Boichenko stressed.
He added that Mariupol will continue to develop - there are new projects ahead, which are dictated by caring for the elderly. In particular, it is planned to open communal Laboratory and Diagnostic Centers.
In parallel with the concert program, photo zones worked in the Theater Square. You could take a souvenir photo with a retro car. Before the performance of the musicians, the audience took part in a quiz. They had to guess famous phrases from classic films.
After that Pavlo Zibrov and «Samotsvety» band made performed on the stage. Listening to familiar melodies, the audience actively sang along and applauded. Events dedicated to the Day of the Elderly were also held in the Veselka Park. Creative bands of city palaces of culture performed here.
All events were held in compliance with quarantine restrictions.
