The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has voted for the restoration of air traffic in the Azov region. The group of people's deputies will send a request to the President. 270 out of 326 people present votes for this. This information is published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The initiators of the bill were deputies Olexander Kachura, Yelizaveta Yasko and Volodymyr Kabanchenko. Passenger flights in Mariupol have not been carried out for seven years.

Mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boichenko, has repeatedly raised this issue. With the opening of air links, the city will receive new investment opportunities for the development.

Two options are currently being considered. The first is to restore the operability of the Mariupol airport. The city is looking for a technical solution to protect the airspace. The main interest of Mariupol is the launch of an airport with a guarantee of the safety of air transportation.
