Vadym Boichenko and elected deputies are congratulated on taking the oath

The first session of the city council of Mariupol region of the eighth convocation has taken place today. At the beginning of the meeting, Vadym Boichenko took the oath and received the symbols of the mayor's power. The newly elected deputies also took the oath. They were congratulated by the honored guests of the event.

“The interests of Mariupol residents unite the deputies and should be the main priority in their work. You have chosen the right direction. Due to the effective work of the Mayor and the deputies, the city will be able to become even more modern and comfortable”, Serhiy Magera, people’s deputy of the new convocation said.

The first session was also attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies, heads of enterprises and educational institutions.

“Mariupol is an example of interaction between the municipality and the legal authorities. For the past five years, the city authorities have been paying great attention to security issues. Visible results are an indicator of the professional performance of the Mayor and his team. Today, respecting the choice of Mariupol residents, new deputies must maintain a given high level of development of the city”, Mykola Semenishyn said.

The rector of Donetsk State University Svetlana Marova joined the congratulations: “Our educational institution is a resettler. Over five years we have been based in Mariupol, we have seen many positive changes. I am sure that in the future the elected deputies, together with Vadym Boichenko, will continue these developments and make Mariupol a city where you want to live, study and create”.
