Vadym Chernysh, the Minister for Temporary Occupation Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, visited the construction facility in 19, Krasnomayakska Street, which is being reconstructed for social housing for migrants. He highly estimated the work of the city authorities with people who were forced to leave their homes and move to Mariupol due to the conflict.
During the conversation Vadym Chernysh noted that there was a team of professionals in Mariupol who were ready to implement large-scale projects. According to him, the key to success in working with internally displaced persons consists of four components: the desire of local authorities to implement projects, understanding of the population, professional approaches and support of the central government.
There is a reconstruction of two buildings in 19, Mendeleeva Street and 19, Krasnomayakska Street for the social housing.
“According to the projects, the state made every effort to make their implementation possible”, - the Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons underlined.
Oleksandr Holtvenko, as the First Deputy Mayor, said, those objects were financed from the state and city budgets under the principle of 50 to 50. The total investment is about 30 million UAH. Realization of the projects will provide an opportunity to provide housing for about 150 persons.
“This housing is provided for highly skilled migrants, who moved to work and live in Mariupol”, - Oleksandr Holtvenko emphasized.
Vadym Chernysh expressed the hope that all works would be completed in time.
