Vadim Boichenko meets with the members of social services centers

Mayor Vadim Boichenko has visited the Territorial Centers for Social Services of the Central and Levoberezhniy Districts. There the Mayor met with its members for a cup of tea.

On the updated left-bank territorial center a sightseeing tour was conducted for the Mayor. Vadim Boichenko was shown a studio, a hairdresser, a gym, a library, a dining room and a room for psychological relief. In addition, the center has a university of the third age. This year, development assistance is ready to provide the US Agency for International Development (USAID). All services are available absolutely free. The territorial centers are funded by the city budget.

After the tour, the Mayor met with the members of the center. They were able to discuss with their questions.

‘We pay tribute for your invaluable work. You gave us life and the future. Roads, schools, hospitals, kindergartens - that's all that was created by your hands. Our task is to continue this business. We build, as you do - for our children, for future generations. And do not forget to take care of you. We are near and you can always count on our help,’
Vadim Boichenko stressed.

During the meeting, the Mayor spoke about plans for the development of the city. He noted that this year the communal bus and trolleybus park will be replenished with new transport. This will solve existing logistic problems.

Besides, the Mayor visited the territorial center of the Central district. Here 50 people are served daily.

‘We pay special attention to physical therapy. Every day we do gymnastics in the street. There is an office for physical therapy, where modern simulators are installed. In addition, we conduct physiotherapy, Olga Cherepenina, head of the day care department’ said.

Vadim Boichenko noted that the plans are to make similar centers in each district of the city.

‘Such centers are the support for elderly Mariupol residents. It is important for us that they feel, relax, play sports and continue to develop,’
the Mayor said.
