Today, Mayor Vadim Boichenko has met with the head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine, Florence Gillett. This is her first visit to Mariupol. The parties discussed possible ways of cooperation.

‘Mariupol is a city of solidarity on the map of Ukraine. We took more than 100 thousand ‘new Mariupol residents’. We provide conditions for their integration. Jobs are created, housing is given out, family support centers are working, services are being introduced and new opportunities are being created. Through this prism, we show that the mission of Mariupol is to become a showcase of a restored Ukrainian Donbass,’
Vadim Boichenko noted.

The Mayor spoke about the challenges that Mariupol face. Among them there is high-quality water supply. In addressing this issue, the city cooperates with the Government of France. Representatives of the ‘Red Cross’ are also working in the region to ensure uninterrupted water supply to all localities in the region.

As for the support of the ‘Red Cross’, the Mayor stressed that the residents of the city felt it at different stages. Its representatives spoke in details about the directions of their activities. In particular, the Mariupol branch.

In conclusion, the parties discussed possible ways of cooperation and exchanged gifts.
