Mayor Vadym Boichenko has met with the students of Mariupol part of the Ukrainian Academy of Leadership. They both discussed plans for the future. The youth was interested in the issues of the development of Mariupol. In turn, the Mayor suggested that students join the development of 2030 City Development Strategy.
Vadym Boichenko noted the importance of the work of Ukrainian Leadership Academy in Mariupol. According to him, it educates real leaders and agents of change.
He added that an important challenge in the city is to create places of interest that will attract youth to the city. Therefore, today the focus is on creation of an educational cluster, IT spaces, new jobs and infrastructure development.
In turn, the students asked the Mayor various questions about Mariupol. They were interested in the processes of city management, economic development and external logistics.
Vadym Boichenko expressed confidence in the successful cooperation with the students. Together, they decided to hold such meetings on a regular basis so that participants could present their projects and ideas.
It should be noted that Ukrainian Leadership Academy is an institution of the ‘Leader School’ format. The academy trains school graduates and students of colleges or higher education institutions. This is a unique 10-month program for the personal and social development of youth aged 16 to 20.
