Today Gdansk is celebrating the ‘anniversary of liberation’. A delegation from Mariupol in charge of the City Mayor Vadim Boichenko has joined the ceremonial events dedicated to the return of Gdansk to their homeland.
The representatives of Mariupol together with Mayor of Gdansk Pavel Adamovich paid respect to the fallen. The orchestra was playing them while they were laying flowers at the monument to those who died for Poland. Then the delegation went to the fountain of Neptune where the ceremonial Polish flag was run up.
The Mayor, his deputies, the city council secretary came to the twin town to study the experience of European colleagues. The main aim of this visit is development of culture, sport, medium and small-sized business, Urban science, architecture and health.
