The central part of Hurov Park has been opened after reconstruction today. Mayor Vadym Boichenko and Deputy of Ukraine Vadym Novynsky walked through the renovated territory from the Ukrainian House to the barbecue area.
‘Such ambitious projects become a reality only due to the joint work of the government, responsible business, partners and, of course, Mariupol. We do all this for new generation, for our children. Today, young couples walk on the renovated pier, children playground in Veselka Park and Freedom Square. Now the residents of the city have received a new unique recreation area,’ Vadym Boichenko stressed.
Hundreds of Mariupol residents came to see the new life of the park. They walk along new alleys, enjoy the contemplation of the pedestrian fountain that forms the fog. There is a cascading fountain, which is illuminated in the evening near "Ukrainian House" Palace of Culture.
70,000 flowers, trees and bushes have been planted on the huge territory of the park. Original sculptures are installed. The country's largest playground in the form of a fairy-tale castle 9 meters high has been arranged. It was completely filled with children in the morning.
Vadym Novynsky noted that the development of Mariupol is an example for the whole country.
‘Mariupol is getting better every day. The city is actively developing and changing. New recreation and leisure areas are emerging. I am sure that the renovated park will become another favorite location for residents and guests of the city,’ the deputy said.
