Mayor Vadym Boichenko has met with the representatives of the city's media in a relaxed atmosphere. Having a cup of tea, they discussed pressing issues. The reconstruction of the city's waterfront, the construction of a water park and the creation of the Disneyland in Mariupol are among the key topics.

According to Vadym Boichenko, the key driver in developing the potential of Mariupol is its location.

‘Mariupol is a city by the sea. And all our efforts should be directed to the development of marine infrastructure. Thus, we will be able to diversify the economy and attract financial resources to the city. Developing our tourism potential, we strengthen the reliable foundation for future sustainable development,’
the Mayor noted.

The Mayor also spoke about the results of negotiations with American partners regarding the reconstruction of Peschanyi Beach. Thus, international donors supported the implementation of this project. The next stage is the development of a working draft and the calculation of the cost of its implementation. ‘Aquapark’ concept is being discussed. It is planned to attract business for its implementation. They also do not forget about the phased reconstruction of Gurov Park, designed to become one of the favorite places for family vacations.

‘The implementation of these projects takes time. They will become the impetus for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the city. The main thing in the implementation of even the most complex tasks is consistency. We have made a step towards this path. Mariupol aims to become a tourist magnet and a center of cultural life in the region,’
the Mayor summed up.
