The Mayor appreciated the labor veterans of iron and steel works for their contribution to the development of the city's economy and enterprises. According to him, Mariupol and metallurgy are closely linked.
‘Metallurgy is not about blast furnaces and rolling mills. It is about people. About you who have the power and glory of the metallurgical profession. Honor, professionalism and heroic work characterize each of you,’ Vadym Boichenko stressed.
The Mayor said that he had also developed professionally at the iron and steel works. He met people who filled him with life experience and knowledge.
‘I grew up in an ordinary family of metallurgists. And I also wanted to connect my life with this profession. I am proud that I worked for a long time at one of the industrial enterprises,’ the Mayor recalled.
In turn, Mikhailo Tsurkan, Director of the department for interaction with public organizations of Metinvest Group, said that the company has more than 80 thousand veterans. They are helped and supported.
