In ‘Ukrainian House’ Palace of Culture, a student initiation ceremony of Mariupol State University has been held. This year, 525 students were enrolled in the first year. Mayor Vadim Boichenko congratulated them on a new stage in their life.

Vadim Boichenko noted that the students made an important choice in life. He also expressed confidence that they will receive a high level of training at Mariupol State University.

‘You will make the future of Mariupol and Ukraine. For you, we are changing our city. We make it open and accessible. We create all conditions for youth to develop. It is important to be inspired by Mariupol and connect your future with it. Do not be afraid to dream. Set ambitious goals and achieve them,’
Vadim Boichenko stressed.

As the rector of Mariupol State University Konstantin Balabanov noted, the results of the entry campaign in 2019 showed that the university retains its position and has enough advantages to attract applicants.

The Mayor and the rector handed the ‘Key of Knowledge’ and the symbolic ‘Gradebook’ to new students. After that, all the present could enjoy the festive program.

It is worth noting, this year 2238 applications have been submitted to the first year at Mariupol State University. This is the highest figure among universities in the Donetsk region. In total this year, about one thousand future bachelors and masters entered Mariupol State University.
