Vadym Boichenko greets “Mariupol” hockey club with the first victory in Ukrainian hockey league

The match of the third round of the championship of the Ukrainian hockey league between “Mariupol” and “Ice Wolves” hockey clubs has been held on a new ice arena Mariupol Ice Center. Following the results, Mariupol club got a landslide win – 3:1. The city mayor Vadym Boichenko greeted “Mariupol” team with the first victory.

“I congratulate our Mariupol hockey team chaired by Alexander Seukand with their first victory in the Ukrainian championship. That was a thrilling game where the members of our team showed themselves as real competitors. I am sure that our “Mariupol” hockey club will get a lot of wins and get a title of the champions. I wish you good luck and success”, the city mayor said.

The score of the game was opened by Volodymyr Cherduk, the skipper of Mariupol club, who kicked the puck to the gates of competitors on the 5th minute of the match. Kirill Bondarenko increased the breakaway of HC “Mariupol” in 10 minutes. The competitors had made ground up when Finnish mercenary of “Ice Wolves” Eetu Moksunen kicked the puck into the gates of Mariupol club before the middle period. On the 48th minute of the match, “Mariupol” increased the breakaway again – Vadym Mazur outworked the goalkeeper Andrei Stelmakh and sent the puck into the gates. The score of the match is 3:1 for HC “Mariupol”.
