Vadym Boichenko, the Mayor, told about innovative projects of Mariupol during the second day of the International Mayors’ Summit. There were the condominium reform, public transport development and safety improvement project.
Then the Mayor presented successful projects of Mariupol. The special attention was paid to the security issue: “The safe city program is operating in Mariupol. The key project is the UASC analytical center. The Smart City technology has united 700 functions, along with call center and ‘102’ mobile application, which is only one in Ukraine. The amount of offences declined as a result. Today Mariupol is one of the 10 safest cities of Ukraine”.
Speaking about the development of transport, Vadym Boichenko stressed that innovative technologies were being implemented in the city's infrastructure. The Mayor said that 83 units of new transport means would be on the line in Mariupol. In addition, bus stop pavilions with information boards are installed. Also, transportation desk has begun its work, and there are wi-fi and payment system via QR-code in municipal transport.
At the end of his speech, the Mayor told about the implementation of housing reform. According to him, 460 condominiums were created in Mariupol in two years. The amount of city's aid is almost 160 million UAH per year.
