Mariupol HOAs are actively implementing projects for the repair and improvement of houses due to the city Support Program. In associations in 59, 61 Troitskaya Street and 95 Stroiteley Avenue, “Cozy Courtyards” have already been created. Mayor Vadym Boichenko signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the chairmen of these HOAs.
A resident of HOA "Troitskaya, 59" Lyudmila Pavlovna has been living in the house for over 30 years. She says that the children had nowhere to play in the yard. After joining the HOAs, the situation changed dramatically.
“Now we have a playground, benches and a gazebo. The road was asphalted. The windows were replaced in the house, lighting was installed. Now we have the brightest courtyard. Residents rallied - we plant flowers ourselves, take care of them,” the woman rejoices.
CCTV cameras were installed around the perimeter of the house. Vadym Boichenko noted that in the future, each “Cosy Courtyard” should be equipped with a smart security system.
Residents of the condominium "Troitsky Ostrovok, 61" turned to the Mayor with a request to solve the problem of a truck entering the yard. Vadym Boichenko instructed specialists to install a restricting sign at the entrance to the courtyard.
Residents of 95 Budivelnykiv Avenue, felt positive changes due to the creation of HOAs. The window blocks were replaced here, a plastic basement was made and the courtyard was landscaped. In August, it is planned to start overhaul of the roof. The total amount of support for HOAs is over UAH 2 million.
“Live, joyful children have appeared in our yard. Before that, they had to go for a walk in the park. Now everything you need is in the yard. It is important that we managed to make a plastic basement, which is now always dry. All of this would not have happened without support program,” Vladislav Mazur, Chairman of HOA “95 Stroiteley” stressed.
It is worth noting that in Mariupol almost 50% of the city's housing stock is in HOAs. This year, more than UAH 250 million has been allocated to support them. The plans are to carry out 96 major repairs, implement 284 mini-projects and create 132 “Cozy Courtyards”.
