In Mariupol there is a major overhaul of pavement and sidewalks along Pobedy Avenue. The replacement of 80% of the conduit and sewer networks have been done. Now the workers are dismantling tiles and sidewalks. The total investment is more than UAH 130 million. The course of work was checked by Mayor Vadim Boichenko.
Dmitriy Chuchmay, director of the Mariupolavtodor public utility, said that, it is planned to replace 15 000 meters of road and pavement curbs with granite on the road from the street of the Ukrainian Cossacks to Pobedy Square.
‘We plan to replace pavement on an area of about 25 000 square meters. We want to make it double-layered. In addition, we plan to lay 21 000 square meters of tiles. We will install new bins and shops,’ he said.
There is also in the plans to replace more than one kilometer of heat networks and reconstruct the network of outdoor lighting. All hatches will be removed to zero with asphalt for comfortable passage.
The Mayor stressed that the work must be performed qualitatively, since it is the main road artery of Levoberezhnyi district.
In addition, Vadim Boichenko looked at the nearby Ice Arena under construction. Refrigeration equipment, side guards and a special ice machine have already been ordered.
