In Levoberezhniy district, the repairs of the pavement along Pashkovskiy Street and Victory Avenue is in process. Along them, it is planned to install new modern stopping pavilions and organize LED lighting. Mayor Vadim Boichenko checked the progress of work.
The director of Mariupolavtodor public limited company Dmitriy Chuchmay noted that last year the work was performed on the site from Olimpiyskaya Street to Iednosti Avenue. This year, road repairs will be completed.
Now Gorvodokanal has replaced four trunk pipelines in this section. Instead of cast-iron pipes, they put plastic ones. The heating network replaced 200 meters of the pipeline.
Vadim Boichenko criticized how road repairs were carried out. The Mayor instructed the relevant units to establish the proper organization of work. In his opinion, the repair creates discomfort to the residents of the Levoberezhnyi district. The Mayor emphasized that the leaders who organized the work in this way would be deprived of a bonus for the third quarter.
‘If you cut off the asphalt, then after that you should do the work of restoring the asphalt pavement. For a month the road in Pashkovsky Street ha been without changes, which creates inconvenience for residents. Nearby there is the "hospital town". It was necessary to complete the work in Victory Avenue and then cut the asphalt to Pashkovsky,’ the Mayor said.
On Victory Avenue, work is also ongoing. Overhaul of the road surface together with the area is carried out by a Turkish contractor. Project financing is UAH 126 million. Here, 68% of the tile laying work has already been completed. Replacing the curb stone is 90% completed and the old coating is milled 85%. In addition to roads, sidewalks and green areas will be put in order. The Mayor noted that conditions for people with disabilities should be created everywhere.
