On the Independence Day of Ukraine, two Mariupol families, whose breadwinners died performing their official duties, received keys and orders for new apartments. According to the decision of deputies of the Mariupol City Council, housing was purchased at the expense of the local budget. The total cost of apartments is almost half a million UAH. Departments of dead servicemen will provide families with furniture and equipment.
Vadym Boichenko, the Head of the city, laid the foundation for a comfortable home. He personally handed over the vouchers and keys to the new landlords of apartments and gave them valuable gifts, namely plasma TVs.
During a conversation with the family of the deceased official of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, Vadym Boichenko stressed that the city authorities were bound to help the families of Mariupol heroes.
Vadym Boichenko added that the families of the two dead heroes – one was the employee of the Security Service of Ukraine and another was the employee of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine – have received the apartments today. The deceased had children and elderly parents. According to the Mayor, families had the opportunity to choose the exact housing they needed.
