Vadim Boichenko discusses the projects that are planned to be realized in Mariupol with People’s Deputy Oleg Lyashko

Mayor Vadim Boichenko has held a working meeting with People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Lyashko. The parties discussed the projects that are planned to be implemented in Mariupol in 2019 with the support of the state subvention.

One of the main topics of conversation was the issue of building another 400 flats for new Mariupol residents. As the Mayor told, 39 furnished flats for the residents have already appeared in Mariupol.About 600 people are still in line. As a solution, the possibility of transferring to the communal property of a number of unfinished buildings was discussed. According to the People’s Deputy, these objects can be completed with the support of the state budget.

Speaking about plans for 2019, the Mayor said that in Mariupol, school 47 and kindergarten 117 would be totally repaired at the expense of the state budget. There are also plans to upgrade the equipment for city hospitals and to build a block module for an outpatient medical center in the Kurchatov microdistrict.

‘Today Mariupol is developing. We update the infrastructure and implement new projects. Being alone, the city would not have coped with these ambitious tasks. Therefore, the support that the city receives today new opportunities for every Mariupol residents,’ Vadim Boichenko emphasized.

In his turn, Oleg Lyashko noted that today Mariupol is an example of rapid and effective development.

‘We say that Mariupol is Ukraine, and so my task is to make all people really feel the attention of the state and have confidence in the future. We need Mariupol to develop and be an example of development for the whole of Ukraine,’ he said.

It is worth noting that since 2017, a number of key infrastructure projects have been implemented in Mariupol at the expense of state subsidies and personal support of People’s Deputy Lyashko. Among them there is the overhaul of two non-residential premises for social housing. Another socially important project is the reconstruction of the school building 39 to a kindergarten. Today it is one of the best preschool institutions in the city. The total cost of the project is almost UAH 24 million, where UAH 15.5 million was allocated from the state budget.

In addition, with the support of the people's deputy, a state subvention was allocated in the amount of UAH 8.8 million for the renovation of the facade of the building of the city center of artistic and aesthetic creativity of student youth. Besides, the city received more than UAH 22.5 million for the overhaul of the Technical Lyceum. After the upgrade, this educational institution became a benchmark by the standards of all Ukraine. The total cost of the project amounted to almost UAH 34 million.

In total, with the support of People’s Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Lyashko, about UAH 100 million were allocated from the state budget for the development of Mariupol.
