City Mayor Vadim Boichenko has met with the representatives of the European Investment Bank, UNDP, the Ministry of Regional Development, Housing and Public Utilities and 'Transtec' company. They discussed the issues of the further cooperation and implementation of city infrastructure projects.

The purpose of the visit is to discuss technical issues and examine the locations of potential projects to be submitted for financing under the National Credit Program for the Restoration of Ukraine.

At the meeting, the mayor said that Mariupol is moving according to the adopted strategy. According to him, the principles of transparency, accessibility and openness are based on the development of the city.

‘We have adopted Mariupol Development Strategy-2021. Due to the international cooperation, it has already been realized by 70%. We implement large-scale infrastructure projects and European initiatives with our partners,’
Vadim Boichenko stressed.

In turn, Senior Inspector of the Regional Development Department of the European Investment Bank Roy Draycott noted that Mariupol has an active position in the formation of proposals for participation in the competition: ‘We want to support projects that will be implemented in the Azov region. Many of them are included in the fourth competition. I am struck by the projects that are currently being carried out in Mariupol and the progress of their implementation’.

It is worth noting that the implementation of a number of projects has already been started in Mariupol with the support of the European Investment Bank. The overhaul of Korolenko central library and surgical department of the Mariupol city emergency hospital, as well as restoration of the building of the executive committee of Mariupol city council are among them.
