The Mayor Vadim Boichenko has met with the representatives of ‘HERZ CONSTRUCTION UKRAINE’ and ‘BETEN INGENIERIE’ companies regarding the reconstruction of the sea front and the improvement of the adjacent territory of Mariupol. The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on this issue.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Energy Projects of BETEN INGENIERIE, Michael Forge, as well as representatives of the ‘HERZ CONSTRUCTION UKRAINE’ company Alexander Rotov and Olga Gelyukh.
Vadim Boichenko presented a preliminary draft of the embankment. The concept of the object's vision was developed in accordance with the wishes of the Mariupol City Council. The project should include elevation changes, the influence of weather conditions and descents to the sea. It is also recommended to consider the construction of active recreation areas and playgrounds.
The President of ‘HERZ CONSTRUCTION UKRAINE’ Alexander Rotov noted that ‘BETEN INGENIERIE’ are ready to establish cooperation with French companies that will finance the project. And ‘HERZ CONSTRUCTION UKRAINE’ intends to carry out reconstruction works.
‘We will consider a preliminary draft during the approval of the Decentralized Partnership Plan in France. Further, a deeper vision of the embankment will be known, taking into account its problems and transformation’, Alexander Rotov said.
On his turn, Vadim Boichenko noted that the reconstruction of the embankment will have a positive impact on the economy of Mariupol and it will make it more comfortable and attractive for tourists.
