Vadym Boichenko discussed the project of Memorandum to settle a problem with tariffs at the meeting with Association of Ukrainian cities

Yesterday, on January 27, the city mayor met with the executive director of the Association of cities of Ukraine Oleksandr Slobojan during the working visit to Kyiv. The parties discussed the project of Memorandum between Association of Cities of Ukraine and government aimed to resolve the problem in the field of tariff policy.

“Memorandum should become a road map to regulate the situation with tariff on the level of the government. It is important to fill this document with real steps that will protect the interests of both Mariupol residents and the residents of other cities of Ukraine. There are certain offers to the final version of Memorandum in the Association of Ukrainian cities”, Vadym Boichenko declared.

Key points of the document are determined according to the result of the meeting. There are the following statements among them:

1. Fixation of the cost of the gas for “Teplomerezha” (with value added tax and transportation) at the level of 6990 UAH / thous. m3, with the obligatory indemnification in the “difference in tariffs” from the state budget.

2. Fixation of cost of the service of distribution of the gas at the level 1300 UAH / thous. m3, instead of 1790 UAH/ thous. m3.

3.Charge off the fines and late charges, debt restructuring of heat producing enterprises for consumed gas for 01.01.21 for five years by adopting the corresponding law.

4. Formation of year contracts for heat producing enterprises of Ukraine, with a forecast cost by reduction in market value of the gas in the summer.

It should be pointed out, on January 20, the ministerial meeting on issues of tariff policy in the field of centralized heating supply was held, chaired by the Prime-Minister, Denys Shmygal. During the meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers and Association of Ukrainian cities agreed to develop the project of mutual Memorandum.
