The Mayor of Mariupol, Vadim Boichenko, and People's Deputy Oleg Lyashko, familiarized themselves with the work of the HENT Center of Reconstructive Surgery at the base of Mariupol City Hospital №1. Medical workers told the guests about the new opportunities that appeared after the repair and purchase of new equipment.
The chief physician of the hospital, Larisa Mamaeva, showed the wards and the operating room, equipped with a new table, an endoscopic stand and a modern anesthetic breathing equipment.
‘Due to the new equipment we do minimally invasive operations. A modern CT scanner is the heart of our hospital. All branches use it. Correct diagnosis is the key to proper treatment,’ said Larisa Mamaeva.
Vadim Boichenko stressed that medicine is the focus of the city authorities.
It is worth noting that the HENT Center of Reconstructive Surgery was repaired, a treatment room, a manipulation room and chambers were also repaired. Besides, at the expense of the state and the city, new equipment was purchased. In 2018, more than 1,500 operations were performed at the Center.
