Today in Mariupol there is a number of works on overhaul and reconstruction of facilities. The key indicator in their implementation is quality. It was told at a traditional press conference after the session by the Mayor Vadim Boichenko.

‘The challenge of Mariupol is to realize ambitious projects. For example, Theater Square must be completed in 2.5 months. The term is unrealistic but the contractor works the clock around. As a result, this park, from the point of view of engineering solutions, will become the most difficult. Mariupol has never had it before. It is going to be a modern park that European countries can boast,’
Vadim Boichenko said.

The Mayor said that they plan to open the Theater Square for the 240th anniversary of Mariupol but not all. The corner, in the zone of the cafe and place under construction, will be fenced with an archaeological excavation. A private entrepreneur does not have time to build his object and a sarcophagus  to come. Nevertheless, soon the citizens will be able to relax in a new and modern park.

The road and sidewalks of Mira Avenue are being completed and renovated. The Greek square is in the process of completing the works. All the plants are under warranty. In case they fade or don’t take, the contractor will replace them at their own expense.

Vadim Boichenko also told about the projects that will open soon. Among them there is going to be a kindergarten in Volonterovka, a technical lyceum, a comprehensive school No. 66, two buildings for social housing and ‘Veselka’ park on Leviy Bereg.

The Mayor of the city assured that Mariupol would only accept the completed work.‘We will set high demands and avoid unfinished work. The key issue is quality for us’, Vadim Boichenko said.

In addition, Vadim Boichenko emphasized  that all the trade objects are planned to be removed from Mira Avenue by the end of the year. The task is to make the pedestrian zone accessible for the citizens and visitors as much as possible.

The Mayor also answered questions related to the reform of education, the development of sports, public transport and social security. In all these directions the city continues to conduct systematic work.
