Vadym Boichenko: “We have one task that is to develop Mariupol!”

Today the first session of Mariupol city council of the VIII convocation in “Ukrainian house” Palace of culture has been held. The city territorial electoral commission announced the results of local elections 2020. After that city mayor Vadym Boichenko who was elected for the second term and new deputy corps took the Oath.

“I appreciate the citizens of Mariupol for their trust. It is a big challenge for me and a big responsibility. We will prove the trust of our residents. I want to wish newly-elected deputies to be honest, self-sacrificing and motivated in honor of simple and understandable tasks where the development of the city of Mariupol and the improvement of the quality of life of the community is the main task. The residents believed in each of us. After that when the election process finished, there is no populism and personal ambitions. We have one task that is to develop Mariupol”, Vadym Boichenko admitted in the opening speech.

He also appreciated the team and the deputy corps of the previous convocation who had been changing Mariupol for better for the last 5 years. They took decisions directed for the development and creation together. They did not take the wrong turning even at the most difficult time.

 “We have created future of our city – future at the sea together. We took decisions, recharging Mariupol, we renovated every public utility we are proud of today. I appreciate my team, which was leading the key and essential directions. We created a new management model and it showed its effectiveness. We must continue the way of development in Ukraine”, Vadym Boichenko stressed.

Vadym Boichenko addressed the newly elected deputies with the appeal to develop the city to the benefit of Mariupol families. They must concentrate on the certain tasks and programs. The effectiveness of the overcoming the challenges depends on deputy corps. The struggle with pandemic Covid-19 is among them. It influences the lives and health of the residents.

 “I wish all the deputies to become one friendly team. We were working at simple and understandable tasks such as the development of Mariupol, improvement of the quality of their lives, struggle against the pandemic and advancement of the potential of our city. The residents are expecting that. We will do everything together”, Vadym Boichenko summarized.
