‘Green Building’ public enterprise serves about 800 ha of the square, 49 ha of the beach and about 900 of children playground, more than 40 toilets and 50 monuments. The director of ‘Green building’ Aleksandr Shulga told about it on XXXVII session of the City Council. He reported the activity of the enterprise at the first half of the current year.
The reform of ‘Green building’ began in 2016. Due to the attracting of the investments for the whole year and a half, it became possible to renovate the technical base of the enterprise. These are machines for cleaning the streets and caring for green areas. Snow-clearing brushes, universal machines that are transformed depending on the season, modern loaders, machinery for cutting trees and stubbing up appeared for the first time. In addition, this year employees of ‘Green building’ have served the territories of schools and kindergartens in Levoberezhnyi and Primorsky Districts.
The improvements of working conditions and the rise of the salary let reach 800 of diversified specialists. Their area of responsibility is the city squares, parks, beaches, wastelands, children's rides, fountains and monuments. According to Alexander Shulga, in 2019 it is planned to expand the service area to 913 hectares. He will carry as an asset the park named after Gurov, the preschool institutions of the Central and Kalmius districts. Now there are 181 thousand units of green plantings that are on the balance.
During the first half of the year, ‘Green Building’ produced 1,214 trees for felling, planted more than 10.6 thousand trees and uprooted more than 600 of stumps. During this period, the company has mowed down more than 560 hectares of territory, has harvested 35 hectares of sheets, cleared 150 thousand square meters of the pick-up part of the roads.
As the Director of ‘Green Building’ Mariupol Public Utility noted, this year the enterprise has performed works on the winter maintenance of roads and sidewalks. More than UAH 9.7 million of additional funding was allocated for this. The money will be spent for purchasing of special equipment.
‘Green Building’ is constantly updated in 2 or 3 years. The net profit of the company in the first half was UAH 51 000. New tasks have been set before us and ‘Green Building’ will continue to improve its professional level, it will make the city clean and beautiful’, Alexander Shulga emphasized.
In turn, the Mayor Vadim Boichenko appreciated the work team of ‘Green Building’ Mariupol Public Utility. Due to their work, Mariupol saw well-equipped Technical Lyceum, a hub school No. 66, the Theater Square, the Greek Square and the following year it is going to be the renewed Veselka Park.
