Today, on the basis of several schools and technical lyceum, a presentation of the Ukrainian Academy of Leadership took place.Pupils met with students and mentors of the Academy and everybody found out about the opportunities and benefits of training.
The Ukrainian Academy of Leadership is a 10-month educational program of personal development for graduates of schools and colleges aged 16 to 20 years. Training lasts 6 days a week and students live in campuses of the academy.
At the heart of learning there are three elements of development: physical, emotional and intellectual. The program helps young people to find their destination, to know the country and the world, to choose their future profession consciously and to uncover their leadership skills. During their studies and work, students acquire the skills of self-knowledge, analysis of social challenges, teamwork and communication.
The course at the Ukrainian Leadership Academy is free. Students only make a one-time donation. In the future, they receive a scholarship that completely covers accommodation, meals, expeditions in Ukraine and abroad and health insurance.
‘Mariupol has very active young people. This city was one of the first to respond to the opening of the cell. City government is interested in providing new opportunities for youth development. We see potential here. This is a fresh breath for young people in terms of introducing various ideas and projects,’ mentor Sergey Ostroushko said.
