An active work on the reconstruction of the sidewalk is underway along Victory Avenue. This year, about UAH 35 million were allocated for their capital repairs in the city. This was told by the director of ‘Mariupolavtodor’ municipal enterprise Dmitriy Chuchmay.
The overhaul of the sidewalk along Victory Avenue takes place on the section from Cossacks Avenue to Liberty Avenue.
‘We plan to install more than 5 000 meters of the pavement curb. Lay 8.5 000 square meters of pavement tiles. The works are carried out by the contractor under the schedule, the bicycle path is equipped. Besides, to ensure the comfort of our residents, we plan to plant landscaping and install urns and benches’, Dmitriy Chuchmay said.
He added that UAH 11.5 million was allocated for the implementation of this project. The tile meets the new standards for pedestrian sidewalks - its thickness is at least 8 cm. A major overhaul begins at the sections where the underground utilities have already been replaced.
The works on the improvement of borders are being carried out simultaneously along Pashkovskiy Street: in the section from Unity Avenue to Olympic Street and along Lavitskiy Street - from Nakhimov Avenue to Zelinsky Street.
