On April 4, from 10 am to 2 pm, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will held events on the occasion of the International Mine Safety Day in the Central District at Svoboda Square (the landmark is ‘Obzhora’ shopping center) with the support of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the State Department of Ukraine and other international organizations.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yegor Bozhok, the representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine and international organizations that are involved in the Donetsk region on mine security issues.
During the event practical demining of pledged explosives, modern equipment, vehicles used for demining, a photo exhibition, samples of mines and ammunition will be demonstrated as well as interactive mine safety lessons will be held with visitors.
