The annual family charity event ‘Help a soldier’ has been held in Mariupol City Lyceum. For the fifth year, lyceum students, their parents and teachers have collected essential items for the military.
As part of the action, the Lyceum was visited by fighters of the 36th battalion of the 501st brigade of marines, who are on the front line. The unit commander Vitaliy Savchenko told the lyceum students about front-line life. But, according to him, the military perform their duty with dignity.
High school students prepared a concert for them. Marines listened with pleasure to songs about war, peace and love. The memory of the dead was honored with a minute of silence. Besides, the lyceum students wrote sincere letters and designed them beautifully, with the hope that they would become a talisman for the fighters.
Besides on this day, the lyceum held a contest-installation of flower arrangements ‘There was a war. There is a war ... Victory is ours!’. The winners of this competition were awarded by the General Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region.
