One of the first mini-projects that have been implemented in the private sector is located in Levoberezhnyi district. Modern, energy-saving LED lights were installed on Almaznyi Drive. The project was implemented under the program of the Public budget of Mariupol city council.

For a long time, the lighting on the passage was insufficient. The residents took an active position and began to work together with the problem. Then we learned that the program of mini-projects of the Public Budget became available for the private sector as well.

‘We are very pleased that it is as bright as day in our street at night. I often come back late with my granddaughter after a dancing class, and my daughter comes back home after work in the evening. Now we have nothing to fear. I am glad that there are such programs. With its help, the problem was resolved as quickly as possible,’Tatiana, the resident of a house said.

As the deputy chairman of Levoberezhnyi District Administration, Alexander Komisar said, an order has already been signed to hold mini-projects this year. To participate in the competitive selection, you need to write an application and attach a project description to it. Bring to the district administration at the place of residence from October 1 to November 30, 2019. The winners will be determined after forming the overall rating of mini-projects. Their projects will be implemented in 2020.

‘In the private sector, we are implementing such programs as replacement of the water conduct, upgrade of lighting, lay out of sidewalks, asphalting and installing children's sports grounds. Under the terms of the project, the residents must participate, at least 10% in the amount from the city budget up to UAH 200 000. The amount of this project with the participation of the residents was about UAH 18 000,’ Alexander Komisar said.

In 2018, 176 applications for participation in the competition of mini-projects were registered only in Levoberezhnyi District. 93 of them have already been implemented.
