The reconstruction of Veselka park is in progress in Levoberezhnyi district of the city. The total cost of the project is more than UAH 42 million. More than UAH 23 million was allocated for work from the city budget and almost UAH 18.5 million from the regional budget. Another 5 million are funds of the Metinvest Group. The course of work was checked by the Mayor Vadim Boichenko.

The reconstruction is aimed at creating of a new modern park in Levoberezhnyi district. A new stage and new benches have been installed here, the paths have been paved with the tiles and a playground has appeared. The highlight of the object will be the bridge of lovers with a fountain and a small waterfall.

In addition, they plan to plant 200 000 of bedding plants and create a ‘green maze’. There is no similar park in Mariupol.

Vadim Boichenko is sure that a modern place for having rest for the whole family should be in every district of the city.

‘It should not be located only in the city center. We must develop each district. And each of them should have a modern recreation park as well as sports and cultural facilities. I am sure that Levoberezhnyi Park will become a real ‘place of attraction’. Residents from all parts of the city will come here to have rest’,
the Mayor noted.
