A cardiovascular center has been operating in Mariupol for almost two years. During this time, almost UAH 90 million was allocated for its repair and operation. This is one of the best medical institutions in all of Ukraine. Due to its work in Mariupol, the death rate from cardiovascular diseases has halved.
Modern equipment, overhaul, chambers of European level - everything is done here to save the lives of Mariupol residents and residents of nearby settlements. There is a cardiology department, a vascular surgery department and a resuscitation department. Modern equipment is installed everywhere. A special pride is the department of functional diagnostics, which will soon start accepting patients. Now the building is being renovated in the interior of the left wing of the third floor.
‘Here it will be possible to make a comprehensive diagnosis of the heart, conduct an electrocardiogram, ultrasound and stress tests of the heart. This has never happened in our city,’ Serhiy Orleanskyi, director of the Ambulance Hospital said.
The Mayor was shown wards equipped with orthopedic beds, air conditioning and ventilation. New ventilators and a programmer that can be used to install a pacemaker were shown.
The head nurse, Olena Tivanchuk appreciated Vadym Boichenko for creating such conditions, for support, help and material motivation.
‘I want to protect doctors as much as possible. Our task is to receive the maximum financial resource for Mariupol hospitals,’ Vadym Boichenko stressed.
