Mariupol State University awards masters with diplomas

A solemn awarding of diplomas to 397 masters has taken place today at Mariupol State University. The graduates of the specialty "Public Administration" are among them. Secretary of the City Council Ksenia Sukhova congratulated the new masters.

"On the way to success, it is important to constantly improve their skills, gain new knowledge. Everyone has their own way, it is not always easy, but now all the conditions for development are created in Mariupol and there are wide opportunities for the implementation of the most ambitious plans in their hometown, "she said.

This year's graduates include not only Ukraine, but also Nigeria, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Guinea. 56 students graduated with honors. During their studies, students underwent internships abroad, became winners of all-Ukrainian competitions, received scholarships from the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, became winners of all-Ukrainian competitions of scientific works, participated in educational internships in Europe and the United States. Many masters are already employed. Currently, they hold positions at various enterprises in Mariupol district.

"I am sure that the MSU diploma will be useful in your life. It will bring you the opportunity to find your favorite and interesting job. You are already professionals that the city can be proud of, " Mykola Trofimenko, president of the University said.

Graduates of the specialty "Public Administration" also received master's degrees. The  employees of the Mariupol municipality are among them. They studied in a two-year experimental Master of Public Administration (MPA) training program. It trains managers in a new format who will be able to implement community development projects effectively. The program was implemented in partnership with the executive committees of the city councils of Mariupol, Zaporizhia, Kryvyi Rih, Pokrovsk, Avdiivka and Kamensky with the support of the Metinvest Group.
